The Album Cold has taken a circuitous route over the past 20 months. Some of the tracks were recorded with different volumes in mind, but that they either fell by the wayside or became bogged down with logistical problems...aka 'lost the impetus'. But there's always that 'unwavering self belief' to try to put something out there even if only to justify the purpose of existence.

Building a house and developing and then maintaining some semblance of a garden was never going to do it for me. On the odd occasion of a long drive I took the opportunity to listen to the tracks a few times and then recently decided that 'be damned with it, just put them on one volume, give it a title, and be done with it'. Well that's what I've done and this then is what you're listening to, if you've chosen to listen to it.

There's some covers and originals and songs and instrumentals, spanning acoustic, rock, electronica and folk. The Studio where it was all done underwent many changes, moving from room to room and in some cases some tracks were recorded in Studio B which was a very stripped back PC set up. I think Mr Reddington was recorded there. One track, I'm in Love with You was actually recorded in 2013 and then arranged several years later with both taking place in Beijing. The remaining 10 songs were done at Dkk Studio in Tasmania mostly in 2021, with a couple of the songs being done this year.

So, Ladies n' Gentlemen Cold is there for you to judge its merit. For me, 'I'm signing off'.
