Season's Change

from ToiL by Steve Blaque

/

about

A Future Island's song that was introduced by good buddy Plutonic Lab from my former band The Repromasters. He rekked the song to me and when I heard it I just thought...'yeah this is one that I really want to do'. Took a week in rehearsal to come up with a style that I thought was mine (their version is something) and what you hear here is how it went down. Like all the recordings on the album they were played and recorded live (with the exception of Yu Ayn't Much o' a Man)

lyrics

"Seasons (Waiting On You)" by The Future Islands

[Verse]

Am7 G
Seasons change, And I tried hard just to soften you
Am7 G
Seasons change, But I've grown tired of trying to change for you

Am7 G
Cause I've been waiting on you, I’ve been waiting on you
Am7 G
Cause I've been waiting on you, I’ve been waiting on you

[Chorus]

C Em Am
As it breaks, the summer will wake
G Am C
But the winter will wash what is left of the taste
Em Am
As it breaks, the summer will warm
G Am
But the winter will crave what is gone
G Am Am7
Will crave what has all... gone away

[Verse]

Am7 G
People change, You know but some people never do
Am7 G
You know when people change They gain a peace but they lose one too
Am7 G
Cause I've been hanging on you, I’ve been waiting on you
Am7 G
Cause I've been waiting on you, I’ve been hanging on you

[Chorus]

C Em Am
As it breaks, the summer will wake
G Am C
But the winter will wash what is left of the taste
Em Am
As it breaks, the summer will warm
G Am
But the winter will crave what is gone
G Am Am7
Will crave what has all... gone away
