Really was never sure about leaving When the Levee Breaks so 'underdone' in version 1, but got to like it a lot and then realized i liked this version as much so I decided to leave both on the volume. Actually that was not the case and instead the original version got the chop,
Much of the final work including banjo and hammond organ were done on the weekend of march 10 2017. The original version was mastered in october 2017.
The song in this form was played live between 2012 to 2013 but I always liked it and would play it routinely in rehearsals and when it came to putting together some incidental tracks that I had played it was one of the first that I considered.
lyrics
Levee Breaks
If it keeps on rainin' levee's goin' to break
If it keeps on rainin' levee's goin' to break
When the levee breaks I'll have no place to stay.
Mean old levee taught me to weep and moan
Lord mean old levee taught me to weep and moan
Got what it takes to make a mountain man leave his home
Oh well oh well oh well.
Don't it make you feel bad
When you're tryin' to find your way home
You don't know which way to go?
If you're goin' down South
They go no work to do,
If you don't know about Chicago.
Cryin' won't help you, prayin' won't do you no good,
Now, cryin' won't help you, prayin' won't do you no good,
When the levee breaks, mama, you got to move.
All last night sat on the levee and moaned,
All last night sat on the levee and moaned,
Thinkin' 'bout me baby and my happy home.
Going, go'n' to Chicago,
Go'n' to Chicago,
Sorry but I can't take you.
Going down, going down now, going down
going down now, going down, going down, going down, going down
Going down, going down now, going down
going down now, going down
going down now, going down
Going d-d-d-d-down
Woo woo

Great Record first up because I produced it at Forbidden City Studio and that The Radiance delivered some powerful performances in the booth and that supporting artists all gave their best shot. Steve Blaque
This double A single works because The Radiance once again develop interesting songs and are prepared to introduce new and old school into their recordings. It is rich in rhythmic elements and harmony Steve Blaque
