To be is the Game

about

To Be is the Game was the 2nd track that the brothers The Evil Underling and Steve Blaque had worked on. I adored, and still do, the lyric of the song and will have it up here soon. The whole recording took place in my former East Beijing Studios and was a watershed from what I'd been doing before and to how I would possibly evolve. I saw the track as a clear turning point and alls I remember is working my butt off to get more things right than wrong. Oh, one really important thing for me is that Mike Crystal laid down guitar on this. Mike was a member of two of my former bands The Repromasters and Junkieland. He's to this day one of the most eclectic guitarists I've played with but one that not only I, but the other Repros all dig ''that sound he'd get''. Mike wasn't too flash in the studio, but was getting his shit together in Melbourne Australia and I was sending him files and he was loading them into Nuendo (software for recording). To me his guitar is and was sublime.
