Originally I started playing this track around 2011. I did it as a glib moment of my ego being pricked when a local Beijing girl I was connected to said that my music wasn't shit she was into and she introduced this Jame's Blunt song to me. I gave it a shot and didn't think much of it but hung at it and have been playing it in shows over the last years. In this version it kind've got recorded in a way I'd never done it before but I just decided to leave it as it was recorded with the ISK microphone and the Amos guitar and into the ZoomR8. I used my Fender Strat copy with my Vox stomplab to do the guitar solo overdub. I should also point out that the version you hear is as said a little different than some performances but oddly settles into my performance style. I'd always play this track comin' out of a segue of material from my last show with the previous track Californication being the segue point and i loved the way it became a 'what the fuck moment' in the show....the look on people's faces kind've shit.
The track is what it is, a disposable moment in a show that may take a lover's time to look into their partners eye..or at least send a ribald message on wechat...who the fuck knows..i just enjoyed doing it.....

Obviously James Blunt for writing the original tune, if that's what one can call it since the chords are the exact same configuration from a whole variety of tracks spanning 100 years of pop music.

I changed the title of this song to My Life is Brilliant. I chose against doing all the lyrics and left out the 3rd verse but made my own adjustments along the way....i think I also forgot a line and came up with something else...you can find it if you want.
