Mona was an original Bo Diddley track and following from a lead from a pal recently towards another 'Rolling Stone's' early 60's period i decided that i would record this piece and so did on May 22-23. I've used Ableton Live for the recording and took some drum samples from their Drum Sessions Pack and aligned them within the structure of the song i decided to go for. Initially the vocal version was a deals more intense before some back n' forthing with long time designer and producer Levan Stanes steered the track this way. It was all recorded in the 'very abridged' covid 19 affected studio in Beijing and utilized the following instruments. Bass was a Waves plugin Bass Fingers, Drums were Ableton's Session Drums Guitar was my Vintage SG copy (all electric guitars) alongside using IK Multimedia's Amplitude and Native Instrument's Guitar Rig 5. Keys were Ableton's Fender Rhodes plug and Hammond organ was again from Native Instruments. Vocals were recorded in one take and used my ISK BM-5000 mic, which i had to buy when i realized i'd be in Beijing a lot longer than i thought.
Recording Mixing and Mastering were all done at DKK Record's Forbidden City Studios and Last Carriage Mastering. (FCS & LCM)

Mona
The Rolling Stones
& Steve BLaque
I say hey, Mona
Oh, Mona
I say yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Mona
Oh, Mona
I tell you Mona what I wanna do
I'll build a house next door to you
Can I see you sometimes?
We can blow kisses through the blinds
Yeah can I out come out on the front
And listen to my heart go bumpety bump
I need you baby that's no lie
Without your love I'd surely die
I say hey, Mona
Oh, Mona
I say yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Mona
Oh, Mona
I say hey, hey Mona
Oh, Mona
I say yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Mona
Oh, Mona
I tell you Mona what I wanna do
I'm gonna build a house next door to you
Can I see you sometime?
We can blow kisses through the blinds
Yeah can I out come out on the front
And listen to my heart go bumpety bump
I need you baby that's no lie
Without your love I'd surely die
I say hey, hey Mona
Oh, Mona
I say yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Mona
Oh, Mona

Great Record first up because I produced it at Forbidden City Studio and that The Radiance delivered some powerful performances in the booth and that supporting artists all gave their best shot. Steve Blaque
This double A single works because The Radiance once again develop interesting songs and are prepared to introduce new and old school into their recordings. It is rich in rhythmic elements and harmony Steve Blaque
