I was flying north from Beijing to Haerbin in 2007. So that's a long time back. An article in the China Daily was talkin' about the sexual revolution taking place in Shanghai and in particular in Shanghai's hotels. Of course this involved western guys who were coming over for whatever reasons...oh i love this one..."to be investors" or ''creative artists"....always gave me a kick...perhaps I'm being hypocritical? I don't think so (a line from another track on this album). I won't go too much on about the song now, saving to say that the only reason it really got pushed as far as it did, and at best it's a very poorly crafted piece of music, but it got as far as it did because I was dating a Russian girl and she had those 'eyes for me''because I played guitar'' She loved the song I didn't, but be damned if I was going to 'throw it away' i remember the times recording it in my San Li Tun studio in Beijing and there was a lot of work being put into it. It wasn't as glib as I just mentioned. I was by now, when recording this song beginning to think of a distant end point to the whole ''ongoing project'', even though I had no idea what the end point was.
