Another medley which had to be split up from the original 58 minute rehearsal and which forms the backbone of the album. This quartet of songs finished the open position and act 1 of the live show. beginning with Thirst (City and Color) before moving into China Girl (Bowie/Iggy Pop) then Fly Like an Eagle (Steve Miller) and finally my own track Tyme of the Tydes. In all it's a 12 song medley and once started rarely would I stop. The process of getting this piece to this stage was monumental but I might talk about that elsewhere on some downloadable material, but that in essence the post production done from the original live to disc recording was done to highlight what was going through my imagination while performing the songs live e.g. what i was hearing and what energy displacement I was feeling.
lyrics
Thirst
When I think of fates worse than death
All I can think of is something you said
You said we were golden, bright like the sun
And now I am stranded
Knowing I’m not the one
An ocean of anger
Flowing through me
Blood stained and broken
From when I fell to sea
And just like a snake charmer
You led me astray
Living in distress
Hoping help is on the way
In the midst of a storm
Searching for shelter
I came upon
One single feather
A half-hearted wish
For something better
Gracefully cursed, I thirst
Attached to the soil
I’m guiding the wool
As I am in my blood
Yet so venerable
But after I’m gone
Once I finally leave
You will be left alone
To the wolves and the thieves
In the midst of a storm
Searching for shelter
I came upon
One single feather
A half-hearted wish
For something better
Gracefully cursed, I thirst
Gracefully cursed, I thirst
Gracefully cursed, I thirst
I thirst
China Girl
I could escape this feeling, with my China girl
I feel a wreck without my, little China girl
I hear her heart beating, loud as thunder
Saw they stars crashing
I'm a mess without my, little China girl
Wake up mornings where's my, little China girl
I hear her heart's beating, loud as thunder
Saw they stars crashing down
I feel a-tragic like I'm Marlon Brando
When I look at my China girl
I could pretend that nothing really meant too much
When I look at my China girl
I stumble into town just like a sacred cow
Visions of swastikas in my head
Plans for everyone
It's in the whites of my eyes
My little China girl
You shouldn't mess with me
I'll ruin everything you are
You know, I'll give you television
I'll give you eyes of blue
I'll give you men's who want to rule the world
And when I get excited
My little China girl says
Oh baby, just you shut your mouth
She says, sh-sh-shhh
She says, sh-sh-shhh
She says
She says
And when I get excited
My little China girl says
Oh baby, just you shut your mouth
And when I get excited
My little China girl says
Oh baby, just you shut your mouth
She says, sh-sh-shhh
She says
Oh, oh, oh, little China girl
Oh, oh, oh, little China girl
Oh, oh, oh, little China girl
Oh, oh, oh, little China girl
Fly Like an Eagle
"Fly Like An Eagle"
Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
Into the future
Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
Into the future
I want to fly like an eagle
To the sea
Fly like an eagle
Let my spirit carry me
I want to fly like an eagle
Till I'm free
Oh, Lord, through the revolution
Feed the babies
Who don't have enough to eat
Shoe the children
With no shoes on their feet
House the people
Livin' in the street
Oh, oh, there's a solution
I want to fly like an eagle
To the sea
Fly like an eagle
Let my spirit carry me
I want to fly like an eagle
Till I'm free
Fly through the revolution
Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
Into the future
Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
Into the future
Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
Into the future
Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'
Into the future
I want to fly like an eagle
To the sea
Fly like an eagle
Let my spirit carry me
I want to fly like an eagle
Till I'm free
Fly through the revolution
Feed the babies
Who don't have enough to eat
Shoe the children
With no shoes on their feet
House the people
Livin' in the street
Oh, oh, there's a solution
Oh, oh, there's a solution
Oh, oh, there's a solution
Oh, oh, there's a solution

Great Record first up because I produced it at Forbidden City Studio and that The Radiance delivered some powerful performances in the booth and that supporting artists all gave their best shot. Steve Blaque
This double A single works because The Radiance once again develop interesting songs and are prepared to introduce new and old school into their recordings. It is rich in rhythmic elements and harmony Steve Blaque
