This track became part of my live show sometime in around 2012 when I used to perform it with a duo I was performing with at that time. When the duo split I just kept doing it and turning it more into the sound that you hear on this track. my own line on this track is in fact a line from the Doors Rider's on the Storm, which is also on this album and came from a night when I performed but forgot the lyric and so was lucky enough to adlib this one....it stayed that way ever after, and I'm glad it did...with of course respects to The Spencer Davis Group who I believe wrote the track.
lyrics
"I'm A Man"
Well, my pad is very messy and there's whiskers on my chin
And I'm all hung up on music, and I always play to win
I ain't got no time for lovin' 'cause my time is all used up
Just sittin' 'round creatin' all that groovy kind of stuff
Well, I'm a man, yes I am, and I can't help but love you so
Well, I'm a man, yes I am, and I can't help but love you so
Well, if I had my choice of matter I would rather be with cats
All engrossed in mental chatter showin' where our minds are at,
And relating to each other just how strong our will can be
In resisting all involvments with each groovy chick we see
Well, I'm a man, yes I am, and I can't help but love you so
Well, I'm a man, yes I am, and I can't help but love you so
I've got to keep my image while suspended on a throne
That looks out upon a kingdom filled with people all unknown
Who imagine I'm not human and my heart is made of stone
they're all dead wrong coz i'm an actor out on loan (my own line)
Well, I'm a man, yes I am, and I can't help but love you so
Well, I'm a man, yes I am, and I can't help but love you so

Great Record first up because I produced it at Forbidden City Studio and that The Radiance delivered some powerful performances in the booth and that supporting artists all gave their best shot. Steve Blaque
This double A single works because The Radiance once again develop interesting songs and are prepared to introduce new and old school into their recordings. It is rich in rhythmic elements and harmony Steve Blaque
