about

this was the track that told me ''do it''...it was like shannon brigg's ''let's go champ'' voice....for me damn damn was ''yes, you can do this if you believe in yourself''....i'm not sure 'what it was i was trying to do, but that it was burning inside of me to make a sound that would reach out from beyond my imagination into the imagination of others'. yes, i was trying to communicate with my music, but my language wasn't understood. this piece was something that was born of my isolation in china, but the emerging rejection of the culture i had come from and the cacophony in my life at this time because of this.
