All Yer Lies is an original. There aren't many on this album, since they're covered in other albums and on the next one if there is to be 'another one'. But this song was important to me since it evolved totally in live shows. Initial rehearsals lacked dynamism and so the song when first played wasn't able to portray the nuance i was looking for. Even the version on Twobitsville, as much as i liked what it was trying to do, just was missing some of the intimacy I was searching for in a song which for me was, and is deeply personal. Recorded in April of 2016 the succession of lives shows had allowed me to get it to this style and here in this version I feel the song is as complete as I would like it to be. It's based obviously on the lies of being born into a society I felt no love for yet had to accept as the defining element of my upbringing, even as I could see it being pulled apart by the forces of tomorrow, while I was being told to cling to whatever yesterday was; neither were where I wanted to be @..
